Job Description

Plains Sand and Gravel in Springfield, NE is looking for motivated individuals to join our team. We have an immediate opening for a full-time Heavy Equipment Operator. Hours of operation are Monday- Friday 7am to 5pm with some overtime and weekends. Candidates must complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Position:

Equipment/ Dredge Operator-2 yrs. Experience Preferred

Job Duties:

*MUST BE ABLE TO PASS BACKGROUND CHECK

An Equipment Operator performs a variety of skilled duties associated with the operation of multiple types of equipment in a sand and gravel pit environment. This includes operating all equipment in compliance with the company's safety policies and procedures. Our Equipment Operators also ensure that company equipment, materials and the work site are maintained, kept clean and stored in a safe manner.

Equipment:

Loader
Excavator
Haul Truck
Skid Steer
Screening Plant and Dredge Operations

Environmental Working Conditions

All work is performed outside in heat, cold, and inclement weather.
Exposure to all elements of nature
Exposure to all types of terrain
Exposure to loud noise
Exposure to fumes, odors, gasses, dusts, etc.
Work in close proximity to heavy traffic

Physical Requirements

Standing
Walking
Climbing, stooping and bending
Periodic lifting of 10 to 50 pounds
Duties may require working from heights
